When I was in high school I was an excellent athlete. My main sport was baseball. When I tore my ACL, my chances of being drafted were gone and my scholarship opportunities were retracted. During my rehab I realized I was very good at picking up on health and rehabilitation concepts. I found myself to be very good at applying them for functional purposes. More specifically, I excelled at teaching others to reach their fitness goals. This set me on a path to becoming a personal trainer and fitness coach.
As I crafted my skills, I adopted a health-first philosophy to my training approach. From there, I make sure my clients are as strong as they can possibly be so they can manipulate that strength into any aspect of fitness – power, speed, endurance, hypertrophy, etc. I can train anyone to reach any goal they wish to achieve. Because of my baseball background, I specialize in overhead athletes. Aside from baseball players, I can train volleyball players, quarterbacks, tennis athletes, swimmers, etc.
